‘Contact ’ Volunteers at Headway |

| We are very fortunate to have a regular influx of
University students offering help as volunteers through the ‘Contact’
scheme. All the students feel they get a lot out of giving their time and
Melanie was persuaded into writing this article: I’m a final year Psychology student and am particularly interested in Neuropsychology. I went to the ‘Contact’ office at the University and they put me in touch with Headway to extend this interest. |
I felt a little nervous as I didn’t know what to expect but as soon
as I got speak-ing to the members and staff, who were really friendly
and welcoming, I felt totally at ease. I would definitely encourage others
to volunteer at Headway as the people there are great and you get to have
a chat whilst getting involved with all the activities that go on there. |

Headway Happenings is published quarterly and reflects the experiences
and interest of all those people who receive a service or provide support
either at our Activity Centre or in the community. |
