Every year, LL&R Headway consults with as many people as possible who
have received Headways’ services during the past year. This year Headway
trustees decided that carers and relatives should be given the opportunity
of meeting with the General Manager (Sylvia Davis) or the Chair of Trustees
(Michael Switzer) and in locations not too far from home. Meetings were
held in Brockington College Enderby and Trinity Methodist Church in Loughborough
- where Headway outreach groups meet - and two meetings were held in Leicester
at Headway House. Those that had difficulties with transport were assisted
to these venues. Headway felt that this was a successful venture for those
that attended and hopes to have meetings similar to this at least once a
year but possibly at six monthly intervals. People with a brain injury were given the consultation questionnaire by their key worker and offered assistance if required. These were the responses:
