Headway Publications
Until late in 2005 we produced two publications: ‘Headlines’,
our more corporate publication, distributed to businesses and donors and ‘Headway
Happenings’, our in-house magazine, containing articles and
photographs of and by Headway members.
From the Winter 2005 edition we combined the two separate publications,
‘Headlines ’ and ‘Headway Happenings’ into a new style
'HEADLINES'.
A quarterly newsletter however has several drawbacks:
- We are only able to send it out to people on our mailing database and they are already aware of what we do and support us.
- The newsletter is costly and time-consuming to produce and postage costs have risen sharply.
- Much of the news/information is several weeks/months old.
- We are not reaching new, potential service users or
supporters.
In recent years, the internet has revolutionised access to information and services with many
people turning to their computers when they wish to search for services and support. Headway is
currently updating and reviewing its website and giving it a fresh new look.
The Spring 2009 issue
will be our last newsletter in this quarterly format. We are sad to be moving away from this format but we
recognise the need for change and progression.
