Fundraise for us

Thank you thinking of Headway Leicester

As a small independent charity, we couldn’t continue our work without your support.

We are responsible for raising all the money we need to rent premises, pay staff, run services and develop new initiatives.

The majority of the cost of running Headway services comes from fee income (local authorities/personal budgets and private funding) however not all our members are eligible to receive statutory support.

Can you become a #HeadwayHero and fundraise for us?

Your support can help us to make a positive difference to the lives of survivors of brain injury.

There are lots of ways to get involved from setting yourself a personal challenge like a marathon or a skydive!

If challenges aren’t your thing then you could host a cake sale, or suggest a zany dress up day at work!

If you would like to fundraise on behalf of Headway Leicester please contact the Fundraising office for more information.

man with blue hair

Headway volunteer Michael raised an incredible £4390 after asking his supporters to donate and nominate a colour for his hair dye challenge!

I did it! I have just completed 26 miles of Hollycroft Park in aid of Headway Leicester as part of the #twopointsixchallenge. This was quite a challenge for me. The park is located on a steep hill and I haven't ridden my bike since my daughter was born 6 months ago. However, it pales an insignificance to the daily challenge for individuals who have suffered a life changing brain injury

Take on an active challenge

Run, trek, skydive, cycle, swim get muddy or come up with your own challenge!

Whether you are a seasoned runner or someone who wants to achieve a personal goal, why not lace-up your trainers and run for Headway Leicester?

Donate or fundraise in memory of someone

Donating or fundraising in someone’s memory is a very special way to celebrate the life of a loved one, benefiting others who have been affected by brain injury.

  • Make a donation in their name
  • Collect at a funeral or memorial (you might choose to do this by asking for donations instead of flowers)
  • Take on a fundraising challenge

If you have any questions about donating in memory of someone you can get in touch with us at headway@headwayleicester.org.uk

We’ll be happy to answer any questions you have.

Collection tin support

Collecting your spare change can help us do even more for local brain injury survivors and their families.

Please contact us if you are planning an event and would like some collection boxes.

We are looking for more locations for our collection tins, if you or a local business in your area could make a home for one, please get in touch!

Host a #MincePieMorning

Every December you can support us with your very own #MincePieMorning. Every mince pie eaten and every pound donated will help us to continue improving life after brain injury.

Simply choose a day that suits you in December, bake or buy some pies, promote your Mince Pie Morning, ask your friends, family and colleagues to donate £2 and enjoy!

Text MINCEPIE to 70450 to donate £2

Texts cost £2 plus one standard rate message and you’ll be opting in to hear more about our work and fundraising via telephone and SMS.

If you’d like to give £2 but do not wish to receive marketing communications, text MINCEPIENOINFO to 70450.
