Hard Hat Awareness Week runs from 21-27 September 2020 and will be led by Headway UK, the week will see a series of activities designed to drive awareness of brain injury and encourage best practice around safety equipment.
Construction sites without the correct protection can potentially be very dangerous places, especially when it comes to head injuries. Brain injury is more common than you think, and its impact can be life-changing for both the individual hurt but also their wider family. Ensuring your head protection is worn and cared for correctly is key to remaining safe.
Headway Leicester have partnered with Phoenix Brickwork to drive awareness of brain injury within the construction industry. Together we have developed a new toolbox talk for the firm to use which will be distributed to all their sites.
The talk highlights how important it is to wear a hard hat and how they are one of the most resilient types of personal protective equipment. Hard hats are proven means of saving lives on construction sites.
